Gerald Miles Pritts

Gerald Miles Pritts, 86, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2026. Born on June 15, 1940, in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, Gerald lived a life defined by family, patriotism, and a love of the outdoors.

Gerald attended South Hills High before proudly answering the call to serve his country in the United States Army. A highly decorated Army paratrooper, he served with both the 101st Airborne Division and the 82nd Airborne Division. During his military career, he completed tours of duty in Germany, Korea, and Vietnam, serving as a Staff Sergeant. He was awarded the Bronze Star for his courageous service and was recognized as a 100% disabled veteran.

Following his military service, Gerald devoted himself to his family and his many passions. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending time on the golf course as a member of the Savannah Country Club. When he wasn't golfing, Gerald loved returning to Pennsylvania to hunt and fish, where he found peace in the outdoors.

He is survived by his loving wife, Susan Barbara Pritts; his children, Craig Pritts (Jill), Stephanie Jones (Jonathan), Jarrod Pritts (Diane), and Gerald Miles Pritts; and his cherished grandchildren, Dylan Taylor, Julia Emelett, Lilly Pritts, MacKenzie Pritts, Zachary Jones, and Brady Pritts.

He is also survived by his siblings, William Pritts (Ruxandra), Kenny Showman (Sue), sister-in-law Margann Pritts & Joann Lanzaretta, Missy Catlett (Billy), John (Dawn), and Tim (Marcia), as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
